Salwaat and the above Zikr, if recited with a sincere and devoted heart will enlighten us spiritually. Peace and spiritual happiness will fill our hearts which will be our permanent treasure to experience and enjoy.

Chand Raat sometimes falls on Friday and when it does, the spiritual significance of the night is greatly increased.

We saw why Chand Raat is an important night. Again we know that Friday is an important day for the Muslims, for it is a day of special congregational prayer. Now when Chand Raat falls on Friday, the spiritual significance and the importance of the two days are combined to be enjoyed in one single day. This day is known as "Shukravari Beej' which means "New Moon of Friday". As this day abounds in spiritual benefits we have been commanded by our Pirs to observe a full day's fast.

'Shukravari Beej" should be strictly observed as a day of fasting. There is no 'bakshamni' for this fast and Mowlana Hazar Imam also wishes that it should be observed by one and all as it comes maximum three times a year.

Old and sick people, young children, people on travels, and pregnant mothers can be exempted and they can have bakshamni for not fasting.

It is a great sin if we do not observe this fast. Sin is a thing which retards our spiritual progress. Now if we do not observe this religious fast which is obligatory upon us, we lose innumerable spiritual benefits. Losing of innumerable spiritual benefits is nothing but
holding back the spiritual progress, and therefore we say that not observing the fast is a great sin. Knowing the importance of Chand Raat and Shukravari Bee], we must never fail to receive the immense spiritual benefits which can be obtained from these days and its observances.
