'SALWAAT' is a short prayer. When reciting Salwaat we say:
"ALLAHUMMA SALI ALA MUHAMMADIN WA ALE MUHAMMAD".which means,

"O ALLAH! SHOWER THY BLESSINGS THROUGH MUHAMMAD AND HIS PROGENY
(i.e. HIS DESCENDANTS, THE HOLY IMAMS).

We say Salwaat with the names of our Prophet and Imams. We recite Salwaat as Tasbih in Chandraat Majlis and for the benefit of the soul of the dead. It is also recited during 'Mayat' (funeral) ceremony. In times of difficulties and troubles we must say the Salwaat. It is good to recite Salwaat as often as possible. We recite Salwaat before and after the reading of Holy Talika and Farman. To show our love, faith and devotion to our beloved Hazar Imam, we recite Salwaat when he blesses us with his Holy Noorani Didar.

Holy Farman

"When you go to Jamatkhana, recite Salwaat as many times as you possibly can. By this recitation, your sorrows and troubles will be removed, your sins will be forgiven, your enemies will be vanquished, you  will be blessed with the holy Didar and you will earn salvation."

Hazrat Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah.
