Though unbelievers have always tried to extinguish the Light of God they have always failed in their unholy purpose.

Holy Qur'an says: 'Their intention is to extinguish God's Light (by blowing) with their mouths; but God will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the unbelievers may detest it." - 61:8 (LXI:8)

History is witness to the evil intentions of the unbelievers, but Imamat, in Its Divine Glory, still stands as a challenge to all such unbelievers who wish to extinguish God's Light.

"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth; His Light is as a Niche in which is a Lamp, and the Lamp is in a Glass, the Glass is as though it were a glittering star, it is lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive neither of East nor of the West, the Oil of which would well-nigh give Light though no fire touched it, LIGHT UPON LIGHT, -Allah guides to His Light whom He pleases; and Allah strikes out parables for men; and Allah has knowledge of all things." - 24:35
