All Ismailis together make the Jamat. Jamat also means "All Ismailis present in the Jamatkhana for prayers".

Jamatkhana is Mowlana Hazar Imam's house. The Noor is ever present in the Jamatkhana.

We have Jamatkhana so that we may pray together. We must pray with the Jamat because Hazar Imam wants us to pray with the Jamat.

Prayers with the Jamat are readily accepted and bring deeper spiritual joy and happiness.

In Jamatkhana we must sit very quietly and respectfully. We must not talk or play mischief.

Good children say their Du'a and Tasbih with the Jamat. They listen to the holy Farmans, holy Talikas, holy Ginans, Wa'z and whatever is read out in Jamatkhana with great respect and complete attention.

We must perform all our religious acts like (i) Du'a Karaw-wi (doing Du'a), (ii) offering Memani, (iii) drinking Niyaz
, (iv) eating Sukreet, (v) receiving Juro, etc. with utmost care, respect and discipline.

When we are in Jamatkhana we must remember that we are
in the Holy Presence of the Noor of Mowlana Hazar Imam, and we must therefore be good mannered and well behaved.

As Mowlana Hazar Imam wants us to pray together, he wishes that there should be a Jamatkhana where Ismailis live. Hazrat Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah has said in his Farman:

"There must be a Jamatkhana even where there are only two Ismailis".
